Mayor

Mayor Renee' Waddell was raised in Douglas where she attended Douglas                                          Elementary and Saugatuck High  School. After graduation she relocated to      Tampa, Florida with her husband. The family was then stationed in Reckershausen, Germany where she immersed herself in the culture until her returned to Douglas in 1994.

Mayor Waddell has three grown daughters; Jacqueline, Cassi, and Courtney.   She enjoys spending time with her grandson William Seniura, being with friends, and donating her time to charitable functions that benefit not only the City of Douglas but various community families.

Mayor Waddell serves as The City of Douglas' first female mayor, she was re-elected to office in 2007 and has served on council since 2004. In addition to her service as a councilperson Mayor Waddell has served on the Planning Commission since 2004.
